Matthew Johnson joined KSL in April of 2022 and is the newest member of the KSL Weather Team. He is the meteorologist for the KSL Today & Noon shows.
Matt was born and raised in Northern California. His love for weather came at the young age of 9 years old when he saw snow fall from the sky for the very first time.
Matt graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science. He’s been forecasting weather in Utah since 2014.
Weather, family and sports are his passions. Matt suffers from a mild addiction to Pickleball. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Matt currently resides in Utah County.
