Rain/snow showers will continue tonight through Thursday morning for northern Utah. Rainfall totals for the valleys will range from .10″ – .25″ and snowfall will be less than an inch. For the benches and the mountain valleys 1-3″ will be possible for areas above 6500 feet. The northern mountains will luck out with this storm as snow totals have risen from generally 6-12″ with higher amounts expected in the Bear River Range. We’ll see some sunshine peek through tomorrow afternoon and highs will climb into the mid to upper 40s! High pressure will take over Friday and bump highs into the low 50s with partly sunny skies. Our next storm is slated to move in Saturday and linger into Sunday. Mainly valley rain with some snow possible on the back end, and of course more, potentially significant mountain snow! – Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 1/1/25
