There are scattered thundershowers around again today, more were this morning in northern Utah and right now it is central and southern Utah. We expect some regeneration of the storms later this evening along the Wasatch Front, but it appears that the moisture tap isn’t as much as yesterday. The storms will move out for the most part tomorrow with the heavier stuff over the Wasatch and Uinta mountains. Thursday and Friday will be dryer and warmer as we head into the weekend. By Saturday, a high pressure will be in a perfect spot to spin moisture northward into Utah – this is pretty much a monsoon pattern for the area. Some models show abundant moisture with widespread afternoon and evening thunderstorms Saturday through next week, others show not as much, but still scattered around. Either way, we seem to be turning into that late summer pattern return to more showers and clouds around, and temperatures nearer to normal that far above.
