Video: Afternoon weather forecast for Feb. 28, 2024
Feb 28, 2024, 6:56 PM | Updated: 7:39 pm
Winds will increase from the south Thursday and will lead to highs climbing 5-10 degrees above average! By Thursday evening our next storm system will come onshore in the Pacific northwest and will begin precipitation in extreme northern Utah early Friday morning. There’s a chance for a few isolated afternoon and evening showers Friday along the Wasatch Front, but overall favoring a dry, mostly cloudy day. The cold front associated with this system will dive southeast through the state Saturday, bringing valley rain and isolated thunder for the first half of the day then a transition to valley snow in the evening. Mountain snow with this system also looks plentiful for the northern mountains (1-2 feet, locally higher). Snow showers look to linger into Sunday. Devan Masciulli – KSL Weather 2.28.24
