Let’s just get this out of the way – northern Utah valleys will be under a strong inversion for a while, most likely through the middle of next week at least, possibly beyond. High pressure is centered to the south of the state keeping clouds over the region, but no mixing winds or storms. That will change by the end of next week, but those storms will be tracking through central and southern Utah, giving these areas rain and mountain snow. If the winds are strong enough around those storm systems, we could get some ventilation of the mucky skies in the north – but if not, then more of the same.
