Jul 4, 2024, 11:13 PM | Updated: 11:39 pm
Evening temperatures will be very comfortable falling through the 70s. High pressure is currently parked off the west coast and the eastern periphery of this high continues to bring breezy northwesterly winds to Utah. As a result, temperatures have remained below average and skies remain mostly sunny. As we head into the weekend, this high will move onshore and over the central Sierras. This will begin to increase temperatures statewide over the weekend with excessive heat beginning in southern Utah Sunday. Highs will be near record breaking Sunday through Tuesday for St. George. The excessive heat will spread into northern Utah by Tuesday as highs reach the 100s across the Wasatch Front through all of next week. Weather will remain quiet through the next 7 days with the exception of some stronger winds on Sunday. – Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 7.4.24
