Video: Morning weather forecast for Aug. 13, 2024

Monday’s thunderstorms brought some serious rain totals across the Wasatch Front and state of Utah with most locations picking up at least 1″ of rainfall. Monsoonal moisture still in place today helping to pop up more scattered t-storms across the state, some could produce heavy rainfall again. The difference today is that we have some drier air starting to seep into the western half of the state so this may limit the strength of some storms. Dry air dominates Thursday – Saturday, but a secondary push of monsoon will return to the state Sunday and Monday. – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.13.24
