Video: Morning weather forecast for Dec. 12, 2024
Dec 12, 2024, 6:54 AM | Updated: 7:40 am
Today will be mostly cloudy with temperatures climbing nearly 10 above normal in the upper 40s near 50. A small decaying storm will move in Tonight into Friday morning and will bring light snow to northern and central Utah. Accumulations continue to trend less and less, so valleys could see 0 to 1/2″ of snow, benches less than an inch, Wasatch Back 1-2″, and mountains 2-6″. The rest of Friday will be quiet as high pressure builds again, and we’ll remain quiet through Saturday night. Saturday will warm back into the upper 40s near 50 ahead of our next storm. This one looks a little bit better in terms of moisture, so hopefully we could get some more precipitation out of it. Majority of the precip looks to come overnight Saturday into Sunday, then continue through the afternoon Sunday. There’s still a lot of uncertainty with the strength and track of this storm, but out of the state, it looks to favor northern Utah. More updates to come! – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 12.12.24
