Video: Morning weather forecast for Dec. 17, 2024

Last night’s decaying system brought some mountain snow to locations north of SLC and will be clearing out today. Look for mostly cloudy skies to start, but a parlty cloudy afternoon with highs in the mid-40s. A Pacific High will camp out over Utah the following 5-6 days allowing for stagnant conditions and valley pollution build-up. Models are now projecting a break-down of that high pressure early next week around Christmas Eve, 69% of model members now suggesting a storm of some strength Christmas Day. Definitely trending in the right direction, but we must take it with a grain of salt because we still sit 8 days away from December 25th. We’ll be updating! Matt Johnson – KSL Weather 12.17.24
