The New Year rings in with a small storm system that has trended wetter in the last 24 hours. This will yet again be a northern Utah storm with valley rain/snow and mountain snowfall. This system will start putting rain/snow showers into the Wasatch Front by late afternoon and into the evening, brunt of the storm system will be in the overnight into early Thursday morning. Potential totals bring the valleys .10-.25″ with 0-1″ of snow, benches tr-2″ mountains 4-10″ with the Bear River Range and Cottonwood Canyons doing 6-12″. Storm clears out Thursday afternoon, but another storm is on its heels for Saturday into Sunday. – Matt Johnson KSL Weather 1.1.25
