A storm approaching from the northwest will push cloud cover into the state today, temperatures will run milder into the low 40s. This storm system will develop a band of light to moderate snow from about Salt Lake City south to Nephi. Highest snow totals will likely fall in Utah County with lesser amounts outside of this area. The snow band will likely lose strength through the day Saturday and then completely depart by Sunday morning early. Snow totals range from 0-1″ Logan to Bountiful, Tr-3″ from SLC to Nephi, Northern Mtns 3-6″ and 4-8″ in the Cottonwood Canyons. Matt Johnson – KSL Weather 1.24.24
