Nov 1, 2024, 9:21 AM | Updated: 9:38 am
October 2024 will officially go down as the warmest October on record – which comes as no surprise considering the first 15 days of the month were at or above 80 degrees! Our next storm system has sped up and will bring rain showers to the Wasatch Front as early as Saurday afternoon and evening. Showers persist into Saturday night with cold air dropping temps into the 40s Sunday with showers likely, especially in the morning. Snow levels start around 7000′ Saturday then drop to 5000′ early Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts right now for valleys look between .25 – .50″ and snowfall for the northern mountains looks around 4-8″, less the further south you go. Highs will fall from the mid 50s Saturday to the mid 40s Sunday. Next week: temperatures more than 10 degree below normal and morning lows in at or below freezing! – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 11.1.24
