Nov 15, 2024, 11:22 AM | Updated: 12:04 pm
An approaching storm system will bring showers to western Utah this evening that will transition to snow showers in the overnight. Lingering snow showers Saturday morning should dimnish through the day, but highs in the wake of this system will be cold. Bundle up with layers and blankets if headed to the BYU game in Provo Saturday night. Rainfall totals for the Wasatch Front and northern UT will be generally .10-.33″. Further south along I-15, rainfall totals drop off, less than a .10″. For snowfall: generally 4-12″ in the northern mountains with the higher end for the Cottonwoods, benches/wasatch back 1-3″, north/central valleys an inch or less, then central mountains 3-6″. It’ll be much cooler behind the storm as highs fall into the low 40s Saturday and Sunday. – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 11.15.24
