Video: Morning weather forecast for Oct. 2, 2024
Oct 2, 2024, 9:22 AM | Updated: 9:38 am
Highs climb a few degrees today breaking back into the 80s. A passing cool front tonight will knock highs down in northern Utah by a couple degrees for Thursday – still highs near 80. High pressure will move overhead Friday and that’ll spike highs into the upper 80s which would break a daily record high at SLC airport. We’re watching the potential to hit 90 that day, which would be the first time ever to happen in October for Salt Lake City. We may see a few clouds develop Friday afternoon and evening thanks to a cool front moving in. There’s a low rain chance, meaning if a shower develops it will likely not produce measurable rainfall, but may produce gusty winds. Highs will drop near 80 behind the cool front Saturday, then level off in the low 80s from Sunday through the beginning of next week. St. George will break or tie daily records for the next five days with highs in the upper 90s. Devan Masciulli – KSL Weather 10.2.24
