An approaching storm system will kick up some breezy winds today with the strongest winds in the West Desert gusting to 50 mph, most of the Wasatch Front 10-20 mph. Highs will top out in the low 60s with clouds increasing by late afternoon and evening. The brunt of the moisture with this storm will be in the overnight with snow levels starting around 7500′ then dropping to 5000′ by Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning’s commute could be a wet one so plan for extra time and maybe even active snowfall over the mountain passes. Tuesday afternoon is more scattered shower activity. Rain totals .10-.25 north of SLC, .25-.50 SCL to Cedar City, St. George .10″ and eastern Utah .10-.33″. Mountain snowfall 4-8″ generally with the mountains north of SLC picking up lesser amounts.
