Video: Morning weather forecast for Sept. 11, 2024
Sep 11, 2024, 6:57 AM | Updated: 7:40 am
With an approaching west coast storm today we’ll see winds ramp up across Utah. Southwest winds will whip 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. These winds will bring in smoke from Southern California fires and could potentially kick up some dust. A sharp but moisture-starved cold front will drop temperatures by 22 degrees Thursday with highs only hitting 70 degrees. Not much rain is expected tomorrow with this front, but the cool-down will feel very fall-like. A warm-up for the wekeend with varying levels of smoke is likely. – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 9.11.24
