Video: Morning weather forecast for Sept. 12, 2024

Temporary clearing of smoke this morning won’t last long. With a wind direction change we’ll see flow out of the northwest today which will bring in more smoke from the Idaho, Oregon, Washington fires. The timing on the thickest smoke will be sometime this afternoon and evening. Air quality starts to improve just a touch into Friday and Saturday, but the smoke will not completely clear out, just lesser concentrations. Dry weather through the weekend will give way to another cold front with some rain chances early next week. Matt Johnson – KSL Weather 9.12.24
