A more substantial punch of fall-like weather will take a hold of the Intermountain West this week. Today we’ll see winds out of the south 15-25 mph with scattered t-storms by afternoon. An associated cold front will bring another round of valley rain showers with snow levels down to about 9,000 FT, yes our first mountain snow of the season will likely fall this week. Temperatures will run about 10 degrees below normal this work week with more rain chances midweek. Matt Johnson – KSL Weather 9.16.24
