Video: Morning weather forecast for Sept. 5, 2024

Very seldom do we get a bad round of smoke and then clear it out within a day or two. That’s exactly what we’ll do today with improving air quality as soon as this afternoon and evening! This is all courtesy of a low pressure core passing by to the east of Utah, this will bring in air from the northeast which should be cleaner. Better air should settle in as the weekend progresses though it may not be perfectly blue skies as it can take time to fully push all this gunk out of hear. All the meanwhile, temperatures will be in the upper 80s and low 90s with minimal rain chances now through the weekend. – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 9.5.24
