Video: Police Chase: Utah police fatally shoot man who killed a K-9 during 2022 chase

On Feb. 17, 2022, police agencies in the Salt Lake valley responded to a man who allegedly threatened his former co-worker with a gun.
During the chase, the suspect, Zachary Tyler Alvarenga, fled on foot and killed a pursuing K-9 with his firearm. Officers returned fire and ultimately killed Alvarenga.
