TREMONTON, Utah — Police are investigating “several potential threats” involving the high school and middle school near Tremonton.
“We… are taking every precaution to keep the schools safe,” a Facebook post from the Tremonton Garland Police Department stated.
Police said school administrators have notified students’ parents, but no schools were specified.
According to the department’s post, school is expected to go on as normal Monday, but an extra police presence will be at some of the schools “as a precaution.”
“Please know that the safety of students and faculty is our top priority and we are working closely with school administrators to ensure a safe and secure environment,” the post concluded.
Additional details, including an explanation of the threats, were not immediately available due to the ongoing investigations.
