Multi-vehicle crash causes I-15 delays near Clearfield; one car left hanging off overpass

CLEARFIELD, Utah — State troopers closed multiple lanes on northbound Interstate 15 following a crash that left a vehicle partially hanging off an overpass.

The Utah Highway Patrol said two semi-trucks and two passenger vehicles crashed near 650 North in Clearfield Thursday morning.

Minor injuries were reported, and multiple lanes were closed in the area.

Troopers initially opened two lanes, as well as the 650 North exit. However, the westbound lane of 650 North was closed due to the passenger vehicle that was on the edge of the overpass.

Crews cleared the scene by 1 p.m. Thursday. No cause for the crash has been given.
