Noteworthy Locals In The NFL Week 3 Matchups
Jaguars vs. Texans – Sunday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. (MT)
Early on Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Houston Texans, and three players with local ties will be playing.
For the Jaguars, two former Utes in linebacker Devin Lloyd and wide receiver Tim Patrick. For Houston, Bingham High standout tight end Dalton Schultz will be catching passes from CJ Stroud.
The AFC South matchup could prove to be impactful for two teams that have started relatively slowly. Houston has yet to win through two weeks, and Jacksonville is 1-1.
Chargers vs. Broncos – Sunday, September 21 at 2:05 p.m. (MT)
The Denver Broncos are back in our list as they head down to the West Coast to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
On the Broncos roster are three former Utes: linebacker Jonah Elliss, linebacker Karene Reid, and offensive lineman Garett Bolles. For the Chargers, it’s two Utah high school standouts: Herriman offensive lineman Andre James and Orem safety Alohi Gilman.
This is another big divisional game. LA sits atop the AFC West at 2-0 and Denver is 1-1.
Ravens vs. Lions – Monday, September 22 at 6:15 p.m. (MT)
This game was in contention for the top game of the week, but it slides in comfortably at No. 2.
There are two locals for sure playing in this game, and it will be an iron-sharpening-iron war. Desert Hills offensive lineman Penei Sewell and BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy.
The Lions also have former Utes two-way star Sione Vaki, but he hasn’t hit the field yet this season.

- Former BYU WR Puka Nacua will take on the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday. In three career games against Philly, Nacua averages seven receptions and 95 yards a game.

Week Three’s Top Game To Tune In To For Locals
Browns vs. Packers – Sunday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. (MT)
Last but not least, our choice for game of the week is the Cleveland Browns versus the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Morning.
Green Bay has been on a roll this season, led by former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. They also have two former BYU Cougars, running back Chris Brooks and safety Zayne Anderson.
Cleveland has one local that will be looking to pick off and sack Love, former Utah linebacker Mohamoud Diabate.
