Here’s Where UDOH Is Offering Free Rapid Antigen Testing This Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health has expanded its free, rapid antigen testing and has been adding new testing sites throughout the state.

Anyone can get tested at these free clinics, officials said. The locations are chosen based on high positivity rates, lower numbers of tests conducted, untreated wastewater sampling and other data.

Health authorities note that the rapid antigen tests are less sensitive than PCR tests, and if an individual has symptoms and tests negative on a rapid antigen test or if an individual does not have symptoms and tests positive on a rapid antigen test, then that person will be referred for a follow-up confirmation PCR test.

“If you do not register online or are unable to register online, you will be able to register at the site but it will take longer for you to be tested,” according to a UDOH statement.
