One dead after shooting in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah — Officials with the Ogden Police Department said they are investigating after a 30-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning.
Police responded to the area of 240 North and 180 East on a report of a gunshot wound around midnight. Officers said the shooting occurred following an altercation between the victim and a 31-year-old man.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the man dead on scene, and authorities have not identified the victim.
Police said the suspect has been identified and evidence suggests this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
Detectives with the Ogden Police Department and Weber Homicide Taskforce are investigating the shooting.
