The U.S. Capitol building is seen at sunset ahead of President Joe Biden's first State of the Union address to Congress on March 1, 2022 in Washington, DC. According to Administration officials, President Biden spoke on the phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier today about assisting with the country's defense against Russia and how to hold Russia accountable. WASHINGTON (AP) —  U.S. Capitol Police have ordered the evacuation of the Capitol complex, saying they are “tracking an aircraft that poses a probable threat.”

The alert was sent to congressional staffers Wednesday evening. Police provided no additional information.

However, according to Yahoo! Sports, the threat was actually “national parachutists” entering the Nationals Park ahead of the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The parachutists were being dropped from a plane in honor of Military Appreciation Day.

This is a developing story and will be updated when details become available.
