WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Capitol Police have ordered the evacuation of the Capitol complex, saying they are “tracking an aircraft that poses a probable threat.”
The alert was sent to congressional staffers Wednesday evening. Police provided no additional information.
The Capitol was evacuated out of an abundance of caution this evening.

However, according to Yahoo! Sports, the threat was actually “national parachutists” entering the Nationals Park ahead of the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The parachutists were being dropped from a plane in honor of Military Appreciation Day.
This is a developing story and will be updated when details become available.
