586 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 New Deaths Reported In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Friday reported 586 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and three new deaths.
It’s the highest single-day increase in cases so far in the state.
There have been a total of 155 deaths and 16,425 cases in the state.
Of the three patients who died, one was a Wasatch County man between the ages of 65 – 84 who was hospitalized at the time of death. One was a Salt Lake County man older than 85 who was a long-term care facility resident. One was a Salt Lake County man between the ages of 65 – 84 who was hospitalized at the time of death.
The state has issued 287,358 tests so far, and the rate of positives is at 5.7% of total tested.
Of the confirmed cases, 1,145 required hospitalization. There are currently 149 patients being treated for COVID-19 in Utah hospitals.
