Utah Reports 354 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 New Deaths; 207 Current Hospitalizations

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Monday announced 354 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and three new deaths.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 435 per day, or 9.8% of those tested. The state has tested 540,182 Utahns so far, and 41,529 of those patients tested positive for the coronavirus.
Currently, 207 people are hospitalized with the virus, and 83 of those patients are in intensive care units. Another 45 patients are currently hospitalized as COVID-19 persons under investigation.
According to UDOH, 49.5% of all non-ICU beds and 66.8% of all ICU beds in Utah hospitals are occupied.
There have been 314 total deaths. The following deaths were reported Monday:
- Female, between 65 and 84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 45 and 64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
The state is considering 29,967 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
