Utah Reports 421 New COVID-19 Cases, 6 New Deaths; 184 Currently Hospitalized

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday announced 421 new COVID-19 cases and six new deaths.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 438 per day, or 10.1% of those tested. The state has tested 550,322 people so far, and 42,328 of them tested positive for COVID-19,
The total of 327 people have died from the virus. The following deaths were reported Wednesday:
- Male, between 65 and 84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65 and 84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65 and 84, Kane County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65 and 84, San Juan County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
There are 184 patients currently hospitalized with the virus, 81 of which are in intensive care units. Another 39 patients are hospitalized as COVID-19 persons under investigation. According to UDOH, 45.8% of all non-ICU beds and 62% of all ICU beds in Utah hospitals are occupied.
The state is considering 30,911 patients as recovered, meaning they received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
