Utah Reports 460 New COVID-19 Cases, 5 New Deaths; 202 Currently Hospitalized

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of health on Friday reported 460 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and five new deaths.
The rolling seven-day average is 441 positive tests per day, or 9.5% of those tested. That number is down from 10% on Thursday.
The state has tested 559,100 people so far, and 43,375 of those tests came back positive.
There are 202 patients currently hospitalized with the virus, and 81 of those are in intensive care units. UDOH reports 56.7% of all non-ICU beds and 66% of all ICU beds in Utah hospitals are occupied.
A total of 335 people have died from the virus. The following deaths were reported Friday:
- Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65 and 84, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
The state is considering 32,371 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
