263 New COVID-19 Cases, 9 New Deaths In Utah; 193 Hospitalized

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Monday reported 263 new cases of COVID-19 and nine new deaths.
The rolling seven day average is 400 positive tests per day, or 8.9% of those tested. The state has tested 574,560 people so far, and 44,390 of those tests came back positive.
Currently, 193 patients are hospitalized with the virus, 79 of which are in intensive care units. Another 29 patients are currently hospitalized as COVID-19 persons under investigation. According to UDOH, 47% of all non-ICU beds and 60% of all ICU beds are occupied in Utah hospitals.
There have been a total of 345 deaths. The following deaths were reported Monday:
Salt Lake County
- Male – between 65-84, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, not hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 25-44, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 45-64, hospitalized at time of death
Grand County
- Male, older than 85, hospitalized at time of death
Washington County
- Female, older than 85, long-term care facility resident
The state is considering 32,319 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
