No New Deaths, 253 New COVID-19 Cases In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Monday announced 253 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths.
Monday is the third day in a row that no new COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the state.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 388 per day, and the rolling seven-day average for precent of positive lab tests is 8.9%. The state has tested 659,855 people so far, and 52,107 of those tests returned positive.
Currently, 125 people are hospitalized with the virus, 45 of which are in intensive care units. Another 19 patients are currently hospitalized as COVID-19 persons under investigation. The UDOH reports 46.6% of all non-ICU beds and 57.6% of all ICU beds in Utah hospitals are occupied.
A total of 407 Utahns have died from the virus so far.
The state is considering 43,990 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
