SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Gov. Gary Herbert on Wednesday declared a state of emergency after cities along the Wasatch Front sustained damage in a storm that blew hurricane-force winds across northern Utah.
Farmington declared a local state of emergency on Wednesday, and Salt Lake City and Centerville both declared emergencies Tuesday.
Herbert made the declaration in Centerville.
“I’m amazed at the efforts of Utahns working together to clean up the damage,” his office tweeted.
