TOOELE, Utah — One man is in custody after fleeing from police, refusing to stop for them, and hiding in a nearby home on Monday, according to police.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, one of its troopers tried to pull over a U-Haul van after it made an incorrect lane change while driving eastbound on Interstate 80.
The van fled from a UHP trooper until it entered a construction zone when the chase was suspended according to law enforcement. The trooper noticed the van exiting I-80 and heading towards Grantsville.
According to police, Grantsville authorities soon found the van abandoned in a neighborhood.
