SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In Utah, more ferrets have been introduced back into the wild.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources shared photos of the black-footed ferrets being reintroduced into the Uintah Basin area.
According to the DWR, the species was twice thought to be extinct back in the 1980s. They are still endangered, and Utah has been contributing to their recovery for 20 years.
