WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Police say 15-year-old Marquez Grajeda suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. They arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection to the accidental shooting death of the teen.

At 12:45 Tuesday, West Valley City Police initially got a report of a drive-by shooting at 1347 W. 2320 South, then a self-inflicted gunshot wound. After further investigation, police found that was not the case.
“There were several people in the room where this happened,” Roxeanne Vainuku, West Valley City Police Department public information officer. “It’s our understanding that the people in this house know each other. The boy who is the victim in this case was with people that he knew inside this house.”
Police executed a search warrant in the home and recovered two guns. They could not say if one of the guns was the one that killed the teen.
