PARK CITY, Utah – Police have identified a woman who was discovered badly-injured on a trail Monday evening.
The 68-year-old woman ultimately passed away from her injuries, according to Capt. Phil Kirk.
Officials identified the woman killed as Cynthia Schwandt of Park City.
Investigators said a group of cyclists discovered the woman at around 7:30 p.m. along Foxtail Trail, which is considered a popular trail for cyclists and hikers.
“At this point it just appears, preliminary indication, she was riding her bicycle, wearing a helmet, by herself and crashed on Foxtail Trail and was seriously injured,” Kirk said.
Kirk said it was unclear exactly how the crash happened.
