Company Recalling Packaged Vegetables Over Listeria Contamination Concerns

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The company Mann Packing is recalling dozens of its products sold all across the country over fears of listeria contamination.
The voluntary recall is in response to a notification by the Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency of the possible contamination, according to Mann Packing.
“Mann Packing is issuing this recall out of an abundance of caution,” according to a statement from the company. “… Mann Packing will continue to work closely with the authorities to investigate the issue.”
They company hasn’t listed which products were sold in which states, but KSL TV found several that are affecting Utah.
The recalled products have a “Best If Enjoyed By” date of Oct. 11, 2019 to Nov. 16, 2019.
Marketside products — both organic and regular — are sold in Walmart stores in the Beehive State. The vegetables impacted are broccoli and cauliflower, broccoli florets, broccoli slaw, California Stir Fry, cauliflower crumbles, cauliflower florets, French beans, green beans (trimmed), super blend, vegetable medley, and broccoli wokly.
The Del Monte Better Break brand falvors spicy pomodoro, summer corn, and zesty green chile are on the list.
Kroger’s organic green beans are sold in Utah Smith’s stores. Baby cauliflower and caulilini florets are sold under the Trader Joe’s brand at their stores.
