SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – With a slew of movies coming up this holiday season, we decided to see what the local theaters’ movie passes have to offer.
News specialist Dan Spindle looked at the four passes offered at theaters in Utah, their costs, how many movies each pass will get you, and additional benefits of joining the club.
The Cinemark Movie Club
There are more than a dozen Cinemark theaters along the Wasatch Front, 11 of which feature luxury lounge seating.
Cost: $8.99.
Gets you: One movie per month. Unused tickets can be rolled over month to month.
Additional benefits: 20% discount on concessions and no online fees.

AMC Stubs Program
The Utah AMC Theaters are located in West Jordan, Layton and Provo. All three offer recliner seating.
Cost: $19.95.
Gets you: Three movies a week .

Regal Theatre Unlimited Pass
Regal Theatres is located in the Crossroads Mall in Taylorsville, and it’s the only Regal in the state.
Cost: $216 per year .
Gets you: Unlimited movies.

Megaplex Mega Pass
There are Megaplex Theatres across Utah, from Logan to St. George.
Cost: $14.95 per month.
Gets you: Two tickets per month. Unused tickets expire at the end of the month.
