LIHU’E, Hawaii – A Kaua’i Fifth Circuit Court judge confirmed Lori Vallow’s bail will remain at $5 million during an extradition hearing in Hawaii on Friday.
The judge also said Vallow must surrender any passports she has to the Kaua’i Police Department if she bails out of jail.
Vallow’s legal representation asked for bail to be reduced to $10,000 during the hearing and said Vallow’s decision to fight extradition depended on the judge’s decision.
With the bail confirmed at $5 million, Vallow’s representative said she will fight extradition to Idaho and her next hearing was scheduled for Monday, March 2, at noon MST (9 a.m. HST).
The prosecution said the March date would allow them to get people and resources from off-island to Hawaii.
Vallow’s husband, Chad Daybell, attended the hearing. As of Friday afternoon, he has not been arrested or charged by police.
