SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Canyons School District officials announced four schools that had switched to online learning will return to in-person learning after the Thanksgiving break.

The Canyons District website said students at Indian Hills Middle School and Alta, Corner Canyon and Jordan high schools who registered for in-person classes will be back in the classroom on Nov. 30.

Students will attend in-person classes Monday through Thursday, with Fridays set aside for independent study and teacher preparation.

The schools switched to 14 days of online learning after testing confirmed 15 or more positive cases of COVID-19.

All four schools have been thoroughly cleaned during the online learning period.

District officials encouraged students and their families to wear face coverings, practice good hygiene and continue social distancing over the holiday weekend.
