Woman shot during attempted robbery in West Valley City; police searching for suspects

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Several units are attempting to locate the person who shot a 40-year-old woman, following an attempted robbery in West Valley City.
Police said the incident occurred at the African Braiding Salon, located at 3850 S. Redwood Road, around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
“A man and two women entered the salon, brandished a gun and demanded money,” read a tweet from the West Valley City Police Department.
At some point during the robbery a victim was shot. The victim is being treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Suspects are described as a middle aged black male and two black females in their late teens. They were seen leaving in a maroon colored sedan. 2/3— WVC Police (@WVCPD) November 26, 2021
That’s when police said a 40-year-old woman was shot.
WVCPD’s Sgt. Carson Liljenquist said the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects were described as a middle-aged Black man and two Black teenage girls.
Police said they were seen leaving the area in a maroon-colored sedan.
The victim in this case is a 40 year old woman.

Just after 5:30 p.m., police released surveillance video images of the suspects.
