ROY, Utah – Two women who sped off from a parking lot in Roy Friday night in a stolen SUV injured a police officer.
Police released images of the two suspects who managed to elude officers.
Someone called police to report a woman was using a flashlight to look inside cars in the parking lot at the EOS Fitness on 1985 W 5700 S in Roy.
Officers arrived and found two females in a black Audi SUV.
Roy police posted a news release that said the women did not follow police commands to get out of the SUV.
“When the passenger door opened the driver started reversing which pinned one of the officers between the suspect vehicle and another vehicle causing injury,” the post said.
Police did not release the officer’s name but he was taken to the hospital with a “minor” back injury. He was released Saturday morning.
