Car drives into Roy business, no major injuries, police say

ROY, Utah — One person is hurt after a car drove into a building Tuesday afternoon, according to Roy Police.
At approximately 12:55 p.m., Roy Police responded to a white SUV driving into the Joys Too Salon at 1930 W 4800 S.
Police told KSL an elderly woman was driving the SUV during the crash. There are no signs of her driving under the influence, and she had no injuries, but she appeared very confused.
The building was occupied by customers and staff when the crash happened. Only one customer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Roy Police said the car caused severe damage to the building, and a structural engineer will need to inspect the building before the car can be removed.
