WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former First Lady Michelle Obama has been named the Most Admired Woman, ending Hillary Clinton’s 17-year run at the top of the list.

She joins her husband, former President Barack Obama, who has been named the Most Admired Man for the 11th year in a row.

The annual Gallup poll asked: “What man/woman that you have hard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most? And who is your second choice?”

Oprah Winfrey came in second on the list of women, and President Donald Trump got the runner-up spot on the men’s list.

Gallup first asked the question in 1946, and, with the exception of 1976, has conducted the “Most Admired” poll every year since.

The top 10 most admired women include Hillary Clinton, Melania Trump, Queen Elizabeth, Angela Maerkel, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ellen DeGeneres, Nikki Haley, Malala Yousafzai and Nancy Pelosi.

The men’s list includes George W. Bush, Pope Francis, Bill Gates, Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton, Dalai Lama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk and Mike Pence.

Barack Obama is one first-place finish short of tying with Dwight Eisenhower for the most times being named Most Admired Man, according to Gallup.com.
