SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Heavy rains Tuesday night made for a wet commute home for many, but the storm let up enough to make the early-morning commute easier as areas in Utah are under a winter storm warning.

However, issues began to arise as more traffic started hitting the roads.

KSL TV meteorologist Grant Weyman said the next wave of the storm is heading in from the north with additional rain and snow coming throughout the day.

Traffic specialist Haley Smith noted some areas have seen more dangerous conditions because of the storm.  Drivers on state Route 36 in the Tooele Valley were dealing with accumulated slush in the early hours, for example.
