Celebrating National Doughnut Day in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Friday is National Doughnut Day, and KSL’s Dan Spindle has listed some of the places to find delicious doughnuts across the state!
Dan’s favorites include Doughbird in Moab, which has great creative flavors and cake classics, and DoughnutsVille in Cedar City, which gets a lot of Facebook love and has bagels and muffins, too.
Secret’s out… this is my new favorite donut shop in Salt Lake City but they’re not new. Fresh Donut and Deli at 2700 S State Street – run by the Le family for 22 years! So, so good for classic donuts

His favorite central Utah spot will always be Terrel’s Market — classic donut perfection, from filled to fritters.
To northern Utah, where Logan’s got Johnny O’s Spudnuts — classics but seasonal options like an orange cranberry fritter.
No. 5 brings us to the Salt Lake Valley: Fresh Donut and Deli on State Street near 2700 South. I’m a sucker for old-fashioned cake donuts and apple fritters, and they deliver all the traditional must-haves for a small shop.
The Le family has been pumping out delicious pastries and sandwiches here for 22 years, and Dan wanted to give them a huge shout-out because every customer he talked to was basically a Fresh Donut and Deli ambassador.
Honorable mentions included popular destinations like Banbury Cross, Dunford with their famous chocolate-chocolate doughnut, and the Mirror Lake Chevron station in Kamas.
But KSL viewers said we should try Parson’s Bakery in Bountiful and hit up Bowman’s Market in Kaysville.
