Self-serve COVID-19 testing site opens in St. George

ST. GEORGE, Utah — The Utah Department of Health announced a new, self-serve COVID-19 testing site has opened in Washington County.
UDOH officials said the site offers self-serve saliva and nasal PCR tests with 24-hour turnaround times.
The site is at Atwood Innovation Plaza, located 453 South and 600 East on the campus of Dixie State University.

Testing sites across the state have seen huge demand during the current COVID-19 surge, and the only testing site in St. George had to turn people away on Monday.
On Wednesday, Utah’s new COVID-19 case count surpassed 10,000 for the first time and hospitalizations hit a pandemic high of 608.
The previous record of 606 hospitalized Utahns was set on Dec. 4, 2020.
