Salt Lake man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing Saturday night

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake Police arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing Saturday night.
A news release said police found and arrested Kevin Neal, 36, Sunday at a home in Salt Lake.
Neal was booked into jail and charged with murder and obstruction of justice in the death of Trevor Bellaccomo, 34.
Police responded to a call of a stabbing at 1650 South State Street around 9:25 Saturday night.
When police arrived on the scene they found Bellaccomo with critical injuries. Bellaccomo was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Police said he had multiple stab wounds.
Detectives gathered and reviewed surveillance video from the area and spoke to several witnesses. They learned that Neal allegedly stabbed Bellaccomo immediately after he showed up at an entertainment venue in the area. Neal reportedly fled the area.
Police said Bellaccomo stumbled to the area of 1650 South State Street where he lost consciousness and collapsed.
A police news release said the attack didn’t appear to be random.
This is the fourth homicide in Salt Lake City for 2022 according to police.
