UPDATE: On Wednesday night, Salt Lake City police said that Cram was safely arrested in Las Vegas by FBI special agents.

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Tanner Cram.

Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said Wednesday that the identification was made thanks to an “outpouring of tips” from the community.

“Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 9-1-1,” the agency’s tweet stated.

The investigation remains ongoing and no other information is being released at this time.

SALT LAKE CITY – Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed two banks in the Salt Lake Valley Tuesday.

According to Salt Lake City police, the man first robbed the Deseret Credit Union in Sandy around 4:23 p.m.

During this robbery, the suspect showed a firearm in “his front waistband and touched the firearm several times” at employees.

The second robbery happened at an America First Credit Union on 1799 South Pioneer Road around 5:52 p.m.

Salt Lake City police said he passed a note to employees and referenced a firearm in this robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s, about 5’6″, skinny build and thin facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a light-colored button-up shirt with a collar and dark dress pants with a belt.

Police believe he is armed and could call 9-1-1 if you recognize him.
